Wednesday - Calais to Beltheim

Late morning arrival in Calais

Meet in Service Station (escorted tours).

Travel through France and Belgium towards Liege.

Through the Ardenne Region of Belgium and crossing into Germany, close to the town of Prum.

Passing through the Mosel valley and up the other side at Treis-Karden and on to Beltheim.

Arrive in Beltheim in the evening - click on Beltheim for accommodation information.

Thursday - Nurburgring

Depart around 10.00 and head northwards for coffee at the Laacher Lake in the volcanic Eifel region then further north to the Ahr valley, where we stop for a short while at the dry toboggan run.

Later in the afternoon we head for the Nurburgring, where you can take a backstage tour of the Formula 1 area, take a roller-coaster ride and watch cars and motorbikes doing a lap or two of the famous Nordschleife circuit - or alternatively have a go yourself!

Friday - Rhine river

A more leisurely day.  We ride to St. Goar on the Rhine and take a boat trip to Rudesheim.

After a few hours to explore we take the boat back and then follow the Rhine to Koblenz, where the Mosel joins the Rhine.

We then ride down the Mosel to Burgen and return to Beltheim.

Saturday - Cochem

The town of Cochem on the Mosel is famous for its vineyards and its castle.

After a nice meandering ride to the Mosel we ride to Cochem for you to take advantage of the many visitor attractions there, whether that be a tour of the castle, wine tasting or a trip up the valley on a cable car.

We meet later for coffee and cake at one of the many cafes lining the river, where you will no doubt meet quite a few bikers on their weekend ride.

 

Sunday - Return

Leave Beltheim at about 8.30 to head for the E42 to catch the Channel Tunnel train in the afternoon (we say goodbye to our escorted tours at a Service Station shortly after Liege in Belgium).
